At the top of the WGT RX range sits the RX157 heavy duty inline gearbox - a 157 mm centre-distance unit for the heaviest coaxial drives. It carries the same design language as the rest of the series, but everything is scaled for maximum torque: a thicker housing, larger bearings, bigger shafts and generously sized gearing, all arranged so the motor sits directly behind the driven shaft.

Note that RX and RXF model numbers of the same frame size are fully interchangeable in terms of gearing; only the output interface and mounting differ. That keeps your stock of spare internals small.
Questions and Answers
What payment terms do you accept?
We normally work on 30% deposit and 70% against the bill-of-lading copy for sea freight, or 100% before dispatch for small orders. Other terms can be discussed for framework or repeat business.
Can you manufacture a custom ratio or a special shaft?
Beyond the catalogue ratios we can quote special ratios and custom output shafts - splined, extended, special keyways or drilled - for OEM volumes. Tooling is amortised across the order, so unit cost falls as quantity rises.
What is the maximum overhung load on the output shaft?
The permissible overhung load depends on frame size, output speed and the distance from the shaft shoulder - all listed in the catalogue. If you drive a chain sprocket or V-belt pulley direct on the output shaft, send us the load and pitch diameter and we will confirm the limit.

Stacker-reclaimer travel drive
A bulk terminal drives the travel gear of a stacker-reclaimer with units. Long-travel duty with frequent direction changes is smoothed by the ground gearing, and backlash stays within 20 arcmin over the full rail length.

Selection Example: Rotary kiln shell drive
Take a 55 kW motor at 980 rpm turning a kiln shell at 6 rpm. The ratio follows directly: 980 / 6 = 163, so i=160 is chosen. In this case the top frame gives the torque margin a shock-loaded kiln start needs. The ratio is the easy part. The service factor for the shock level is what makes the selection safe, and we check that for you at no charge.
